to the XX. World Congress for Safety and Health at Work 2014 – Global Forum Prevention in Frankfurt am Main
We have a vision: the Vision Zero. A world in which work is safe and healthy. A world without severe and fatal occupational accidents. This is the objective to which we are devoting our full efforts and commitment. But only if we all act together, globally, will we make progress towards this vision becoming reality. The Global Forum for Prevention provides a venue at which this can happen.
Discussion – Debate – Action. This is the focus of the unique World Congress for Safety and Health at Work, which is held every three years.
"Sharing a Vision for Sustainable Prevention": this is the motto under which the 20th World Congress for Safety and Health at Work is to be held in 2014 in Frankfurt am Main. The three key topics are:
- Prevention Culture – Prevention Strategies – "Vision Zero"
- Challenges in Occupational Health
- Diversity in the World of Work
The motto and key topics have been agreed by the event's organizers – the International Labour Organization (ILO), the International Social Security Association (ISSA) and the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV).
The Global Forum Prevention offers a platform for the exchange of information and opinion to experts in safety and health, representatives of companies and employees, decision-makers from government and public authorities, the social partners, and anyone active in the area of occupational safety and health. Political fora, specialist events and workshops provide an opportunity to pool experience, to co-operate on specific issues, and to present best-practice examples.
